Fun Fact #361 Dare To Dairy
Fun Fact#361
Dare to Dairy
Today Wisconsin is still the largest Dairy producer in the US and among the top in the world (India beat Wisconsin for the title producing 22% of the world’s milk), and this is no accident. The state remains one of the best places for farmers looking to get an education, thanks to institutions like the University of Wisconsin, The College of Agriculture, The Agricultural Experiment station, and Hoard’s Dairyman. Wisconsin also does extensive research to solve new issues like Johne’s Disease which threatens cattle, sheep, and goat populations worldwide which can result in: TB, Leprosy, and Crohn's disease in humans.
Though it may be cheesy to say Truly Wisconsin’s Future looks Bright. Just don't take Wisconsin’s cows near the secret service. They’re still upset that they accidently lost, butchered and ate President Taft’s prized cow Puline Wayne in 1913 and have since banned cows from the Whitehouse premises.
