This algorithm would be published in her famous “Note G” and along with it she would dismiss the notion that it was an artificial intelligence on the grounds that it could only perform functions we set it to do and thus was not alive. Yet of all people Charles Darwin would dispute this saying that biology cannot think but rather overcomes through random flaws. 

Thus her program sparked the first public worry of an artificial intelligence back in the 1800s and the argument has continued ever since. Though I should point out that right now Darwin is considered to be winning with the advent of Self Learning AI.
