Leveraging his newfound success, Garrett Morgan would begin traveling to his contacts with Fire Stations across the U.S. From here he would give classes to local communities, encouraging them to buy safety equipment for their homes, and instructing them on their use. This method for spreading public awareness would prove so effective at saving lives that Fire stations still continue this practice to this day, and his simple, yet durable inventions would continue to find use until the creation of OSHA in 1971.
