The Rings of Rain
Saturn is a very unique planet, and while we discover more planets with rings every day, we have yet to find planets with rings like Saturn. Saturn’s rings are the most extensive known and are made primarily of water ice, propane and Butane. The Ring closest to Saturn known as “Ring D” which is slowly being consumed by Saturn at an incredible 22,00 pounds per second.
This is actually how we know what the rings are made of is due to this rain moving so fast that the particles vaporize upon impact with the Cassini Probe allowing it’s vapor measuring equipment to pick it up.
