The Outlaws of Grammar

Psst! Did you know that when it comes to grammar there are many different ways to classify and break it up. However one in particular is seen as unsightly and left out of almost all written word –Interjections. These “Outlaws of Grammar” are short words, or phrases which convey actions (“Pow!”), meaning (Hi!), or confusion (“Umm?”). As such they can convey an incredible amount of context, but are unnecessary if you already know that context resulting in their being left out by most academics. Yet on the the fringes where grammar is less regulated they still persist such as the spoken word, or in Comic books where they can help the reader pick up the tone of the work.
