 Fun Fact # 201

The Bright Moon
Last of this week’s facts is Saturn’s Moon Enceladus. This moon is found within Saturn’s E ring and is actively shooting jets of Saltwater into orbit which add to the ring’s growth every year before it recollects it on its next trip around the orbit. The saltwater then adds to the moon’s surface shell which is the most reflective object in the solar system, and is only broken up by mountains and the geysers that eject the water in the first place. Just past it’s shell is thought to be a world ocean, which is heated by this geological activity to at least 90 degrees (going by what the Cassini probe picked up from the geyser jets and the minerals which can only be formed at higher temps.) meaning it could potentially harbor life, or at least support any life we put there.
