Sloths of the Sky

If a Sloth falls out of a tree and no one is around to catch it, does it get hurt? The answer, surprisingly, is no! For Sloths are amazing creatures when it comes to their anatomy, and due to their lifestyle up in the trees, they have evolved to be able to fall around 90 feet without injury. The average sloth tends to fall at least once a week, but this isn’t a bad thing, as the most dangerous time for a sloth is when they climb down a tree for their weekly bathroom break. By falling out and then using the restroom they cut the time they’re at risk in half! The only issue comes when someone or something gets in the way of a falling sloth, as uneven surfaces will harm sloths more than just hitting the ground.
