Lazy River

Lazy rivers are amazing,  but do you know where they come from? It started in 1941 when a nightclub owner –David Breault– wanted to boost sales and began hosting an event on weekends at the Apple River Canyon. Here he’d lend people inner tubes, give them a chance to buy some alcohol before letting them drift down the river.  He also had one of his employees with a truck ready at the stopping point to take patrons back up the river and start all over again. 

Today artificial lazy rivers can be found in many water parks and are a great way to relax. Thanks for reading and please have a wonderful day!
