 Fun Fact #353

Running be-Hind

Most people wish to find fulfilling relationships, and this was no different for the Ancient Greeks, but they had a rather interesting way of viewing it. The myth of Hercules and The Hind (a young Deer), in which Hercules was to catch the prized golden deer of Athena without harming it.

After chasing the Deer for more than a year, the deer was about to escape when Hercules shot and injured it. In doing so he would fail, and this was meant to show the Greeks that Love was an ever present run, where both sides had to grow and actively participate, or else the relationship would be harmed.
