Protection Through Victory

Through-out history there have been many interesting names and one that stands out among them is Žygimantas. The name was Lithuanian for “Protection Through Victory” and it was well earned by Sigismund ii Augustus the last Jangellion King. 

SIgismund today is remembered for uniting Lithuania and North western Ukraine peacefully under the Polish crown, greatly expanding the kingdom so it could better defend against Ivan The Terrible.
