Way of the Sea

In Ancient Rome there were many major trade routes. 3rd among them was The Via Maris or “Way of the Sea '' which connected Egypt to Syria. It also linked up many of the trade routes and cities along the way making it vital for Rome’s control of the Middle East. The route still exists today as “The international Coastal Highway” and remains vital to the movement of products through Israel and The Middle East
