Fun Fact # 322 The Mandalorian Acts

Happy Star Wars day everyone! Now onto today’s fun fact:

#322 Mandalorian Sicarii

The Mandalorian is a popular TV show, but few people know just where the story comes from. Sure it's a Space western with elements from Lone wolf and Cub but there’s actually a whole other layer.

At first glance the Book of Acts may seem as an odd choice to base a TV series Plot on, but its an often overlooked part of the bible which tells the story and strife of the early Christian Church. While  the plot of many episodes echo parts or themes of the book, the biggest similarity is The Mandalorians calling themselves “Followers of the Way.” Historically this was used by the early christian church until the city of Antioch officially named their Sect “Christains”. Since then it has been mostly used as a way to still discuss the faith  without risk of being persecuted. By this show popularizing the phrase it will help future Christains hide in times of persecution from those who have not read Acts. “This is the way”

Today is May 4th or Star Wars day, so just for  fun “May the Fourth be with you!” thanks for reading and please have a wonderful day.
