Fun Fact #310
Fun Fact #310
American Yellow Warbler:
Known for their trilling and quavering songs the American Yellow Warbler can be easily recognized with yellow and gold feathers with males sporting reddish-brown highlights. The Warbler primarily lives in forested areas near water where their diet consists of caterpillars and Leafhoppers (they don't bite plants like grasshoppers but suck nutrients out of them like a weird plant mosquito). They also eat other insects and small berries. It’s not unusual to hear this bird before you see it and where I’ve most commonly seen it is within Rock Cut State park along the walking paths.
