The Call and Post

The Cleveland Call was a weekly newspaper started by Garrett Morgan in 1920. 8 years later it would merge with a similar newspaper “The Cleveland Post'' to create “The Call and Post”. It quickly established itself as one of the most influential sources for religious and Social topics within the African American Community at the time. Although it filed for bankruptcy in 1995 it was picked up in 1998 and continues to run to this day –even spawning a spinoff newspaper ( The C.P.2 ). Most recently In 2013 it was inducted into the Rhythm and Blues Hall Of Fame at Cleveland State University.
